What people are saying about Blue Sky Days:

"I shed tears of happiness, and tears of fear for the characters.  For a short novel, Blue Sky Days was brimming with emotion, and it never felt fake.  I've rarely come across a novel that clicked with me so powerfully; in some ways, I felt almost overwhelmed from how much I cared about the characters, especially Emma and Nicholas, by the end, but it was in a good way.  Marie Landry made me FEEL something for her characters, and when I read the last page, I felt like I was saying not goodbye, but "see you when I see you" to friends.  It's a rare gift, to be able to accomplish that over the course of a novel, but Marie did it.  I won't forget Emma, Nicholas, or Blue Sky Days anytime soon."

"This story is about love, courage and strength and I will say it is one of the best books I have read this year.

Marie’s writing is fantastic; her words flowed so well you won’t put the book down, well maybe a couple times to wipe your eyes or blow your nose. I can honestly say I will be reading this book again and will be purchasing a hard copy of it when it is published.

I recommend this book to everyone. I know cancer is a deep subject but this isn’t about the cancer this is about the strength of love Emma and Nicholas have for each other and the love of their family and friends who stand by them to help them through the hardest times of their lives."

“Marie is a debut author and Blue Sky Days is an amazing offering for all the readers out there. She is an author to keep an eye on and hopefully Marie is busy thinking of more stories to write. Everyone should pick up a copy of her book and hopefully you will all have a "Blue Sky Day" everyday.”

“From the very first page this book grabs you and draws you in, keeping you captivated with the characters as they go through the trials of love, life and self discovery. Emma is an amazing character so well written and so endearing that you can not help to be swept along and pulled in to her world, all the time feeling like you are there with her. The whole cast of characters are amazing in their own rights all bringing emotions, love and zest for life with them. The cancer story line…is thought provoking, emotional and captivating. I know the whole thing made me cry, laugh and feel good as I was going through the story. I cant say enough good things about this book so when it is released Jan next year go get a copy and read it I’m sure you will love it. One final word obviously is that all credit goes to the author for creating such a book that really makes you believe that love can get you through anything.”

An informal review of sorts…or more accurately, something I took from my friend, fellow writer, and beta reader Keith’s blog when he was talking about my book:
“I’m not even a fan of romance novels...and I greatly enjoyed being a beta-reader for her Blue Sky Days…The male lead is fresh and funny, the kind of carefree character you just can’t help but love. He and the main character’s aunt provide enough free spirited amusement to get the romantically intolerant through the sappy scenes.”
